An Apulian Night presented by Breathing Art Company

Simona De Tullio-Breathing Art Company is coming to Charlotte for ten days of performances and collaboration. During their time here BAC is inviting audiences in to see two short works and hear more about their process and the work they do.

The Breathing Art Company (founded in 2005 by Simona De Tullio) is on stage in USA (Charlotte and New York 2015) with the performances “Princesse” and “Rendezvous” in collaboration with Taproot and J Chen Project supported by FSC - Cohesion Funds, EuropeanUnion, Puglia Regional Government, Teatro Pubblico Pugliese. Since its inception it has distinguished itself regionally, nationally and internationally. All activities the company engages in have the backing and support of Bari Municipality, Region of Puglia, The Province of Bari and is in association with “Puglia Creativa”, where Simona De Tullio is the vice president. The company has been involved in important productions and events with well known artists in Italy and abroad. In these years the company's productions have been performed throughout Puglia and abroad, with the support of the local councils and schools, of the Teatro Pubblico Pugliese and in the Fesr 2007-13. Since 2009 The Breathing Art Company has been in collaboration with the Tanzcompagnie di Giessen (Germany) and the Ballet METT di Hahn (Germany) for cultural exchanges and international projects. In 2010 the company creates the International Dance Competition “San Nicola” with international partnerships:Alonzo King LINES BALLET (USA), Tanzcompagnie (Germany), Ballet METT (Germany), Henny Jurriens Foundation (Netherlands), Ballet de Genève (Switzerland), Danser Ensemble (France), Malta's University, World Dance Movement (Italy).
